Hey guys, winter is here and i hope you enjoy it or may be you become lazy and avoid to go out from home and eat snacks most of time. Usually we all do this in winter but you should know about some foods which enhance your immune, helps you to keep warm and gives instant energy. Food is the first thing which stay us healthy and it is very important as you know health is wealth.

Why we become foody in winter

There are two type of species Warmblooded (Endotherm) and Coldblooded (Ectotherm). And we all human beings and other mammals and birds are warmblooded. Its not mean that our blood is warm, that means our body is capable to change body temperature as per surrounding environment. Like our skin sweating in summer for maintain our regular body temperature which is 37C.

Like that in winter our body have some functions to generate heat which needs energy. We have Brown fat cells which burns fat and calories to generate heat and these cells are more active in cold environment. So we need more fat and calories, as result we become foody.

Our metabolism is also high in winter, so we can get more energy from food we eat. Our elders know this advantage of winter and you can see most of festivals in which we eat heavy dishes are comes in winter.

At last when all processes prove fail to keep us warm our body start shivering, This is tiny and fast movement of our muscles which generate heat and consume heavy calories. So our body required more calories in winter and we feel hungry in short periods.

Food which keeps you healthy in winter

Food is the main part of our life, it affects our mind and health both. So we should keep a balancing and appropriate diet according to our body and environment.

1 Dates

Really guys these sweet dates have fabulous taste, I am not doing any marketing this is my personal experience and they have a very good taste. Dates are bundle of health pack full of fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and more.

Dates give instant energy because they easily digest and very helpful in weight increasing because of fat, sugar and protein contain in this. Its nutrients are also helpful in mind development, cures anemia and helps diarrhea patient.

2 Ghee

Nowadays pure ghee is very rare, its not extinct but there are lots of duplicate ghee in market. Still we can got pure ghee at goushalas and villages or gir ghee is also pure to get click on this gir ghee and it smell gorgeous and rich in health and taste.

Ghee has heat naturally so it help us to keep warm. It also said as brain food and have Vitamin A so also good for your eyes.

One more thing, the food which is hard to digest increase your metabolism and continuously gives you heat by breaking the protein particles. And even ghee cannot easily digest. So include this in your diet if you have good digestion or by advice of your physician.

3 Beetroot

We can say it a fruit but basically beetroot is the root of a Beet plant. We mostly use it in salad but we can use it in many forms. Some says that beetroot have high level of iron but its really not. Beetroot is not high in iron but the iron it contain is of good quality which helps in increase hemoglobin.

This red beet have iron content and lots of Vitamins and if we regularly include this in our diet then we can fulfill the deficiency of Vitamin A, B, B 1, B 2, B 6 and C. And use it in winter prove very useful to us, as i say earlier that brown fat cells are active in cold so we can get all potentials of beetroot in winter.

Here one fun fact about Beetroot, the leaves of beet plant contain 3 times more iron that its root and beetroot can cure hangover.

4 Carrot

Carrots give high level of energy and also being strong your immune system which helps you to prevent from flu and cold. Carrots help in reduce cholesterol, so your heart become healthy.

Antioxidants presence in it helps in increase blood level and cleanse all toxins from your blood. Carrots are rich in beta carotene, Vitamin K and Vitamin B 6. It contain orange colour because of beta carotene in this further it converts into Vitamin A which improves your eyesight.

It improves your digestion when you eat raw carrots or take it in the form of juice. And also give glow to your skin and strong your hair.

5 Honey

Honey was my favourite in my childhood and still it is. My grandmaa knows many home remedies based on honey. I want to share some of them with you. Honey with turmeric remove cough, honey with milk increase your weight, honey also cure mouth ulcers, honey with other ingredients cleanse your eyes and many more.

It contain probiotics or beneficial bacterias which helps in digestion and cure constipation and gastorial problems. We also get glowing skin by regular use of honey and it also resist skin from infections.

It also increase red blood cells which helps in providing oxygen in all parts of body, Oxygen is the basic requirement of our body. If you want to increase your red blood cells daily drink hot water with honey.
